About the role
The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a certified cardiovascular or radiologic technologist responsible for performing specialized procedures, including fluoroscopy and digital imaging, under physician guidance to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias. They hold advanced competencies, lead technical operations, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized electrophysiology procedures, including fluoroscopy and digital imaging.
- Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias.
- Lead technical operations and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Utilize specialized electrophysiology equipment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree from an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technologist program.
- Certification as a Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Electrophysiology Specialist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in a cardiovascular lab.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrophysiology technologist.
