Role Overview
The Senior Electrophysiology Technologist (SEPT) performs advanced cardiac procedures under physician supervision, utilizing specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy and digital imaging to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex electrophysiology procedures
- Operate specialized equipment and capture high-quality images
- Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and procedural accuracy
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program
- Certifications: RCIS, RCES, or Radiographic Technology
- Relevant experience as an electrophysiology technologist
- Current licensure and national certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS)
- Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency and clinical competencies
