Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care as an Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse, utilizing critical thinking, clinical expertise, and critical care skills to assess patient responses during procedures. The nurse administers conscious sedation, monitors patients' hemodynamic, neurologic, and respiratory status, and advocates for patient needs throughout care.

Responsibilities

• Promoting patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and post-treatment needs.
• Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, as well as professional development.
• Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and family.
• Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers to involvement.
• Maintaining safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Nursing diploma or associate degree, RN license, no experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least 2 years of bedside experience, with cardiac experience strongly preferred.
