The role is suited for nursing professionals with strong clinical experience who are comfortable working in a healthcare environment serving diverse and rural communities. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards. Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and clinical procedures. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records. Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and health management. Support preventive care, follow-up care, and patient care coordination. Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency clinical situations. Follow infection-control, safety, and healthcare compliance procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care. Mandatory Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license License from any U.S. state is acceptable. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Ability and willingness to work in Shiprock, New Mexico. Willingness to commit to a 1-year contract assignment. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with any of the following certifications will be preferred: ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course ATCN Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses NLS Neonatal Life Support Preferred Clinical Experience Experience in any of the following settings will be an advantage: Ambulatory Care Primary Care Outpatient Care Rural Health Community Healthcare Indian Health Service (IHS) Clinical Nursing / General Nursing Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills, good communication abilities, accurate documentation practices, and the flexibility to work in a rural healthcare environment.
