About the role

New Salem Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center in Murfreesboro, is actively seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position offers a flexible schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call commitments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) during recovery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide postoperative education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
