About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Technician II to join a premier manufacturing organization in Franklin, MA. This role offers competitive pay, temp-to-perm opportunities, and a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements.
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material.
  • Completing point-to-point wiring and installing a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, and more.
  • Drilling, tapping, deburring, grinding, and sawing to prepare panel enclosures and mounting surfaces.
  • Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies into cases and cabinets.
  • Using a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Red-lining documentation to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Operating hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
  • Training and mentoring junior members of the team and taking the lead on customer projects.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in Electrical Controls is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in control panel building, wiring, and reading schematics/electrical diagrams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical currents.
  • Proficiency with hand tools for drilling, tapping, and assembly.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Physically able to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Understanding and following safety requirements in a manufacturing environment, including wearing PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protectors, and hardhats.
  • Broadening computer literacy and basic mathematical skills relevant to production and engineering concepts.

Pay

$23.00–$27.00 per hour.
