About the role
Electric Boat is seeking an Electronics Mechanic to work in the Transfer Car Maintenance Shop for the Facilities Department.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and repair of control systems including servo control systems and PLC type systems
- Repair and install temporary wiring systems
- Work with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors
- Support weekend work and emergency situations
Requirements
- General industrial electrical knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems including servo control system, and PLC type systems
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic blueprints
- Capable of minor installation of temporary wiring system
- Able to work with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors
- Able to support weekend work and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required or 2 years of related technical experience
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial and commercial electrical field including troubleshooting and repairing all types of control systems
- 5+ years' experience with motor control, PLC, and CNC machine troubleshooting
