Major Responsibilities And Duties

• Maintain the integrity and satisfactory operability of all District A/V equipment and various electronics by troubleshooting, repairing, or recommending replacement.
• Effectively plan and utilize time to complete tasks including those of a complex nature.
• Inspect and repair fire alarm systems and alert all parties involved to avoid repeat work and make note of systems that are candidates for upgrade or replacement.
• Update and maintain current files and records of parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Document progress through written reports and completed work orders that denote the costs associated with life-cycles of A/V equipment.

Safety

• PRACTICE a high standard of safety in the performance of all duties and abide by District policies and procedures.
• CONTRIBUTE to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being PROACTIVE in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
