Electronic Technician - Modules

About the role

As an Electronics Technician at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by being responsible for the testing, alignment and troubleshooting of cosite Modules. Responsibilities

• Setup and perform technical electronic test functions with the aid of written procedures and instructions
• Troubleshoot Modules performance to the circuit card component level
• Perform mechanical assembly such as installing covers
• Perform component level troubleshooting and repair of RF cosite subsystems
• Use of schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, Power Amplifiers, Frequency Counters, Power Meters, and automated tests sets

Requirements

• Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card Holder)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2-year degree in an electronics field from an accredited college, university or technical school required
• Minimum 2 years of RF related technician or equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of J-STD-OO1 preferred and ability to obtain certification once employed is required
• Must have experience with commonly used test equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supplies and network analyzer
• Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification

Skills

• Well versed in the use of common RF test equipment (including calibration & troubleshooting equipment)
• Knowledge of power amplifiers, synthesizers, power supplies, digital control circuitry, RF filter principles such as bandwidth, Q, insertion loss, and return loss
• Advance understanding of filter alignment and component function
• PC skills for data entry and use of test software
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex circuits
• Ability to interface effectively with internal customers
• Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
