Electronic Technician

About the role

Prysmian is seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Repair Technician to join our team in Williamsport, PA. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and upgrading our electrical and electronic control systems.

Responsibilities

• Frequent contact with people at all levels in the organization and vendors.
• Work as a team member, frequently in a leadership role, and coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical and electronic control systems.
• Design and modify new circuitry and manage selected projects.
• Specify and assist in selecting new electrical and electronic equipment and components.
• Inspect, calibrate, program, and adjust plant systems.
• Support and participate in the department safety committee.
• Recommend changes to improve performance, reduce costs, and optimize operations.
• Aid maintenance electricians in PM, repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and document all work.
• Analyze equipment performance and ensure optimal operation.
• Document and maintain records for analysis.
• Work non-scheduled hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role or wire & cable experience preferred.
• Proven track record in installing, operating, and maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Technical degree considered a plus, but relevant experience is essential.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible work schedule to support a 24/7 operation.
• Ability to operate common electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Knowledge of computers and programming PLCs.
