About the role

SLB is seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our Maintenance Base in Oklahoma City, OK. The successful candidate will support the reliability and performance of electronic equipment used in operations while contributing to a safe, efficient, and quality-focused maintenance environment. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of equipment performance and operational readiness. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, works effectively in a team-oriented environment, and embraces continuous learning and improvement. This position provides the opportunity to develop specialized technical expertise while making a direct impact on asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned equipment in accordance with reliability-centered maintenance programs and established maintenance procedures.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, equipment history, labor, materials, and parts utilization within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Product Line maintenance standards, quality requirements, and operational processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing asset utilization and reducing cost of service delivery.
  • Contribute to efforts that improve equipment turnaround times and reduce maintenance-related downtime.
  • Support maintenance team effectiveness through troubleshooting, repair, and technical problem-solving.
  • Participate in failure analysis and corrective action activities to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist with asset optimization projects, including repair, refurbishment, and reuse initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma, vocational training, trade school certification, or equivalent education in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in electronics maintenance, equipment repair, troubleshooting, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), diagnostic tools, or maintenance tracking systems is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
