Electronic Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure process control equipment is calibrated, running efficiently and to specifications.
• Formats and establishes preventative maintenance procedures for process equipment and systems and insures proper compliance.
• Modifies, configures, services, and maintains computer, microprocessor, and process controller systems throughout the plant.
• Operates and performs basic programming for microprocessors, process controllers, and various computers as required.
• Propose, appraise, and purchase new equipment for projects to enhance plant operation.
• Counsults and evaluates results to determine efficiency and/or suitability of process control devices or systems.
• Develops and conducts training sessions on process control systems and equipment for all levels of involved plant personnel.

Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of technical training or related work in this field.
