What You'll Do
- Affords assistance in the repair, service, and non-NVLAP accredited calibration of electronic radiation detection and monitoring equipment (e.g., radiation detectors, personal electronic dosimeters, and pocket ion chamber dosimeters).
- Under direction of the Radiological Instrument Service Manager and Radiological Instrument Tech 3, performs electronic radiation detection and monitoring equipment maintenance and repair.
- Keeps records of the field exchange and inspection of state-owned radiological equipment located throughout the state.
- Attends special equipment training as needed.
- Assists the Radiological Instrument Service Manager and higher-level radiological instrument technicians in maintaining inventory of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 30 months of experience in electronics; AND valid driver’s license.
- Completion of an associate core program in electronics, electronics engineering, or electrical/electrical engineering; AND 6 months of experience in electronics; AND valid driver’s license.
- Equivalent of the minimum class qualifications noted above.
