Electronics Technician 1
Primary Responsibilities
Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and analyze electronic hardware issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
Repair and Reconditioning: Perform repairs and reconditioning of FAA electronic hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure it meets FAA and Leidos standards and specifications.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and testing results.
Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of technicians to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Compliance: Adhere to all Leidos regulations and guidelines throughout the repair and reconditioning process.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the electronics repair department.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude and willingness to learn electronic repair processes.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and learn to read drawings or schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as an Electronics Technician, with a focus on hardware repair.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
