Electronic Technician I
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of function of Instrumentation from internal, OEM and contract manufacturers
- Perform troubleshooting, on-bench diagnosis, and repair of Instrumentation
- Compiles detailed production and repair paperwork, including quantities produced, scrapped, in-process, etc.
- Ensures quality product is built or repaired and shipped
- Ensures that Neogen CASE system entries for the Instrumentation department repairs are properly updated and Cases are closed in timely manner
- Receive new product formal training on instrument operation and repairs from Vendor
- Create a repair SOP for new instruments
- Performs direct work, demonstrating the ability to perform any of the various operations within the group
- Affords assistance in modifying BOMs, work instructions, and ISO documents as necessary
- Affords assistance in maintaining Neogen RA system entries for department
- Ensures that parts inventory is properly maintained in SL
- Other duties as may be assigned by Manager

Qualifications
- Minimum HS diploma, Associates degree in computer/electronics
- Two to four years of experience in electronic assembly, processes, equipment and troubleshooting required
- Small scale mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and other procedural documents in English
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point is also required
- Proficiency in CAD and statistical software programs is preferred
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit
- The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors or airborne particles, and potentially hazardous chemicals, utilizing proper personal protective equipment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet
