About the Role

Puttshack is an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience that appeals to everyone. The Game Technician position is responsible for maintaining the functionality of our unique game technology. Our Game Technicians ensure the mechanics and operations of the game and courses are performing properly and safely. Through troubleshooting, repair techniques, and timely reporting, the Game Technician works closely with the venue team to resolve technical issues promptly, contributing to a positive and engaging guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot unique game technology and course mechanics.
  • Perform repairs and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Use hand tools, small power tools, and testing equipment for electronic circuitry.
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests to resolve issues.
  • Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with varying conditions.
  • Stand, kneel, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs, and work in dimly lit areas.
  • Work in confined, crowded, or guest-occupied spaces with variable noise and temperature levels.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support or maintenance.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, technology, and PC hardware installations.
  • Ability to learn unique software and hardware systems supporting the game.
  • Familiarity with electronic circuitry, testing equipment, and electromechanical devices (e.g., linear actuators, small conveyor systems).
  • Experience with hand tools and small power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Guest-focused mindset with exceptional communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must pass a post-offer background check.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in technical support within gaming or entertainment environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills down to the component level.
  • Experience with small electronic and mechanical repairs.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet data infrastructure.
  • Soldering experience.
