About the role
Performing a number of functions on a variety of industrial electrical and electronic components according to company policy; National Electric Code; federal, state, and local building codes; repair manuals; factory specifications; blue prints; schematics; and his or her own knowledge of the industrial electrical and electronic components.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and assisting other associates
- Assisting in other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Be at least 20 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before his or her start date in the position
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Able to read, write, and solve math problems
- Successfully complete the following tests before his or her start date in the position:
- Computation
- Following Written Directions
- Space Visualization
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Associate of Science degree in electronics or have completed an approved electronics technical course
- At least two years of work experience as an electronics technician or an electrical control technician
- Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, PLC logic diagrams, electronic systems schematics, and technical manuals
- Able to use a multi-meter, signal generator, oscilloscope, and a lap top computer
- Knowledge of A.C. and D.C. electrical theory, and how to apply Ohm’s law to practical applications
- Understanding of the proper application of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, transformers, rectifiers, fuses, thyristors, triacs, diodes, transistors and integrated circuits
- Able to create and process work orders within a computerized maintenance-management system
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Able to supply your own hand tools and maintain them to accomplish daily duties
- Able to work well with others and function as a team member
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
- Current Industrial Maintenance associate
- Previous experience in one of the following programming languages, C+, C++ , Visual Basic, or PLC Programming

- Year End Bonus: In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
