Responsibilities
- Study drawings, manuals, or specifications to troubleshoot electronic components
- Assist engineers with prototype electronic components
- Follow detailed instructions and procedures to conduct functional tests to evaluate electronic equipment
- Read and interpret schematic, assembly, and wiring diagrams
- Adjust and calibrate electronic equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to the component level
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Three to five years related experience and / or training
Qualifications
- Ability to use digital multimeters, current probes, and oscilloscopes
- Ability to identify basic electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes while reading a schematic
- Ability to solder surface mount and through hole components
