Electromechanical Assembler - Solder

About the role

Under general supervision, the employee performs a variety of production assembly and test operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies. This role requires the ability to interpret prints and work instructions, acquire soldering knowledge to pass regular certification tests, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled hand soldering of various wire sizes to electrical components per work instructions, wiring diagrams, job travelers, and test procedures.
• Pass regular soldering certification tests.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with flexibility and adaptability.
• Perform relatively simple assembly procedures using small hand tools.
• Meet or exceed production quotas while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret specifications, work instructions, blueprints, and visual aids.
• Follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Requirements

• Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 6 months prior soldering experience.
• Adequate manual dexterity to safely and proficiently work with simple hand tools.

Physical Requirements

• Continuously required to sit, use hands and fingers for fine motor tasks, and communicate verbally.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• An annual eye exam may be required.
