As an Electro-Mechanical FST, you’ll get hands-on with cutting-edge, high-performance Jenbacher gas engines (0.25-9.5 MW) – supporting critical energy solutions across industries and working with innovative fuel sources like biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, and more. Essential Functions Perform hands-on service activities according to engine maintenance protocols (e.g., replacing filters, conducting inspections, taking measurements).Execute minor repairs and address issues beyond planned maintenance.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures, analyze historical engine data, and propose solutions.Coordinate with third-party suppliers as needed.Collaborate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers—both independently and as part of a team.Communicate planned service activities and provide maintenance progress updates.Take ownership of assigned sites and customers, proactively working to maximize engine reliability and great customer service.Prepare detailed technical reports, including actions taken, materials used, and recommendations for follow-up.Maintain tools, critical spare parts, and company vehicles in good condition.Complete timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports promptly.Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. Eligibility Requirements Prior field technician experience (automotive, power generation, heavy equipment, ships, aviation or diesel engines).Analytical troubleshooting skills.Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays.High School Diploma or GED required.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Ability to work remotely as needed.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).Ability to meet company vehicle insurability standards. Preferred Skills & Attributes (Training Available) Experience with Jenbacher, natural gas, or reciprocating engines.Strong electrical skills (e.g., wiring panels and alternators).Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge.Background in power generation applications.Ability to understand, implement, and communicate technical procedures.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with computers and logic controls software.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
