Electrician Technician - 2nd Shift - Demopolis

The Electronic Technician position designs, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots plant instrumentation and control devices, including installation and programming of PLCs. This role collaborates with department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members to ensure accuracy and quality in the processing department.
Essential Functions
- Fryer Grader - Broken Stick Observation: Performs duties including repair, testing, and maintenance tasks related to the Corndog facility.
- Designs and/or upgrades/install plant instruments and control devices.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment.
- Conducts preventative maintenance and rebuilds equipment as necessary.
- Don proper Protective Equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
All personnel employed or associated with Foster Poultry Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new hire is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor.
- Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48 degree) environment.
- Must be able to withstand a hot (80+ degree) environment.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels including management.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have decision-making ability for flagging deviations from procedures.
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and clean-up preferred.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for coworkers.
- Must be able to safely operate forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Must wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must have the ability to maintain current and accurate records of work performed.
- Must have the ability to operate a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Must have the ability to research, design, install, program, and maintain programmable logic controls.
- Must have knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering.
- Must have the ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Must have the ability to operate digital keyboards, digital metering devices, soldering equipment, and small hand tools.
- Must have the ability to monitor/interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the industrial electrical field.
