Responsibilities

  • Design and/or upgrade/install plant instruments and control devices
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and re-build equipment as necessary
  • Perform broken stick observation duties in the Corndog facility
  • Work closely with department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members to ensure accuracy and quality in the processing department
  • Support Foster Poultry Farms' mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness

Qualifications

  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify
  • Able to read and write English
  • Able to communicate with all levels including management
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to make decisions regarding deviations from procedures
  • Able to demonstrate basic knowledge of sanitation and clean up
  • Able to communicate effectively and set a positive example for coworkers
  • Able to operate forklift and/or pallet jack safely
  • Able to maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Able to operate various electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Able to research, design, install, and program programmable logic controls
  • Able to manage inventory and supplies
  • Able to follow and enforce safety procedures
  • Able to operate digital keyboards, digital metering devices, soldering equipment, and small hand tools
  • Able to interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in industrial electrical field
