ELECTRICIAN TECHNICIAN--2ND SHIFT

Primary focus

Performs diversified duties to maintain production machinery. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs maintenance repairs of production equipment. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit. Works closely with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain safe operation of manufacturing equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial/electrical maintenance preferably in food production manufacturing, ability to directly work with and repair electrical systems and electrical system interfaces with plant equipment, hands-on understanding of 480v, PLC’s electrical trouble shooting, ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
