Electrician, Self Perform Construction
What You'll Do
Collaborate with the construction team to install power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, temporary construction power, and electrical equipment up to 480v.
Maintain and troubleshoot various electrical components.
Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to plan, install, and improve electrical systems.
Consult manuals and read project electrical drawings to perform and plan work scopes.
Execute a wide variety of electrical tasks and provide timely feedback.
Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects Tesla's mission and goals.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial or commercial electrician
- A high level understanding of the California Electrical Code and the ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics
- Experience working on low voltage systems (data, fire alarm) up to 480v; medium voltage experience a plus
- The ability to test and commission work according to Tesla standards and relevant building codes
- A strong knowledge and implementation of work site safety, with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete a pre-task plan prior to starting work
- The ability to work from heights up to 80ft
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
