Electrician I, Shop

Responsibilities

• Assembly of control panels and associated components:
  • Layout and mount various electrical and mechanical components
  • Panel wiring in accordance with provided drawings
• Perform functional testing in accordance with established procedures
• Fabrication of various in-house designed sheet metal components
• Bending and forming of rigid conduit and various tubing materials
• Perform special testing as required
• Perform troubleshooting of electrical control systems
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics preferred, but not required
• Understanding of electrical AC/DC theory
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred, but not required
• Self-motivated, multi-task oriented, with good organizational skills
