Electrician Apprentice
About the role
As a CT Electrician Apprentice, you will be responsible for executing plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning PV solar systems in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged units
- Use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter) and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
Requirements
- Valid Electrical license in the state of CT
- Experience as an electrician (residential or commercial electrical systems preferred)
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work on pitched residential roofs
- Ability to work in attics
Schedule
Full-time work, 40+ hours per week with overtime pay for hours over 40 in a week.
Pay
$20–$25 per hour.
