Electrician Apprentice

Spark Power is a trusted partner in energy across North America, seeking an Apprentice Electrician who can travel as needed for work.

About the role

You will install electrical systems in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications, perform jobs safely and efficiently, and keep customers and equipment operational. Our electricians promote a positive company image through service quality, professionalism, and a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety in the workplace
• Install conduit and wire, terminating conductors
• Troubleshoot circuitry and replace damaged components on industrial equipment and systems
• Install fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems
• Maintain a clean work area at all times
• Proactively prepare for upcoming work
• Interact with various individuals at different levels within the company

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant electrical experience
• Experience with conduit runs 1/2" - 2" (EMT, GRC, PVC Coated (Ocal), and S/S) is an asset
• Man lift experience is preferred
• Solid knowledge of the State Electrical Code
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with co-workers and other contractors on site
• Superior problem-solving skills
• Attitude of completing quality work in a safe manner
• Experience liaising with customers in a professional and effective manner
• Ability to travel within the state as well as out of state
