Electrician Apprentice

About the role

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We are seeking an Apprentice to join our team to help improve processes and procedures that will ensure high quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install required electrical to support heat pump installs
• Calculate electrical loads
• Upgrade main electrical panels as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
• Test electrical systems for functionality and efficiency

Requirements

• Well versed in newer technologies like SMART panels, splitters, sub-panels, to optimize when faced with main panel or full service upgrades
• Well versed in modern residential electrical building codes
• Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

U.S. Roles: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
