Electrical Technician III Skid
HOURS
HOURS: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1–2 weeks from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Upon transition to second shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, terminate wires, use hand and power tools, and bend EMT and rigid conduit.
- Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and specifications.
- Test and inspect electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Work Experience: 3+ years of experience installing and repairing equipment in the electrical field.
- Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Preferred but not required: Certificate of completion from a trade school program or an associate’s degree in a related field. Previous education in a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Willingness to learn and take directions from experienced electricians.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Able to meet deadlines, prioritize activities, and obtain information when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to train and assist others to acquire needed job knowledge and skills.
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Module X Solutions partners with local schools to offer employees the option of attending an in-house apprenticeship program. This is an accredited program that takes 4 years to complete. An employee has the option to join and take advantage of this opportunity if they choose to. Upon completion of certain milestones, Module X Solutions will offer regular pay increases as the employee advances throughout the apprentice program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
