Electrical Technician - Fossil Rock

About the role

The role involves performing electrical maintenance and installation tasks at a fossil fuel power plant. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, conducting safety inspections, and adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance and repairs
• Conduct thorough safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Install new electrical systems and components as needed
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex electrical issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or installation
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to various locations within the region

Skills

• Electrician’s license (preferred but not required)
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
