About the role
The role involves performing electrical maintenance and installation tasks at a fossil fuel power plant. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, conducting safety inspections, and adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance and repairs
- Conduct thorough safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Install new electrical systems and components as needed
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex electrical issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or installation
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to various locations within the region
Skills
- Electrician’s license (preferred but not required)
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
