Electrical Technician
About the role
Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of electrical systems. Key Responsibilities include:
- Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units, noting need for repair, performs minor and preventative maintenance
- Aids other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
- Performs maintenance work including detection and correction of mechanical systems
- Troubleshoots and maintains electrical systems and life safety systems
- Works on active systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with NFPA and other regulatory safety standards
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Accurately maintains equipment inventory and historical records
Requirements
Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required: Two (2) years related work experience in electrical, mechanical and life safety systems
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law And/Or Institution: Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license
Qualifications
- (Preferred qualifications) An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
- ICC Electrical Inspectors Certification (Active)
- ICC Electrical Plans Examiner Certification (Active)
- Electrical Journeyman License State of Georgia (Active)

Pay
The budgeted salary range is $25.42 to $29.76 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.
