Electrical Technician

About this position

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.

What we do:

• Design, build, and service equipment and plants globally.
• Provide on-the-job training.
• Work with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel.
• Handle stairs and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Use measuring tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Read and comprehend assembly prints and industrial electrical schematics.
• Build cables to print, assemble industrial instrumentation, and test/replace motors and instrumentation.

Knowledge & Background:

• Perform installation, building, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical components.
• Ability to use general hand tools and general assembly tasks.
• Work off-site when needed.
• Strong background in electrical.
• Ability to handle stairs and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, tape measures, and scales.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as digital multimeter, ammeter, loop calibrator, and oscilloscope.
• Ability to read and comprehend assembly prints and industrial electrical schematics.
• Cable-building experience is a plus.
• Some experience with troubleshooting PLC and automation systems is a plus.
• Assemble industrial instrumentation according to schematic.
• Test/replace 3PH AC and/or DC motors on industrial equipment.
• Occasional testing/replacing instrumentation at customer sites (Field work).
