About the Role
Our client is seeking an Electrical Technician to support electrical assembly, prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of professional electrical experience, hands-on soldering experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed technical procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Solder electrical components and assemblies to build and repair electrical subsystems.
- Assemble prototype and pre-production units following build procedures and work instructions.
- Test electrical devices and components to verify functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in a hands-on laboratory environment.
- Set up laboratory equipment and support testing and data collection.
- Maintain lab equipment, tools, materials, and work areas.
- Follow technical procedures, work instructions, and established quality standards.
- Complete accurate documentation related to assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and lab activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development.
- Assist with the development and refinement of products moving toward commercial release.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working with electrical components and assemblies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional electrical experience.
- Hands-on soldering experience.
- Experience working with electrical or electronic components.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to perform technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Wilmington, MA.
- No college degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both hardware and software.
- PCB assembly or rework experience.
- Prototype or pre-production assembly experience.
- Experience using electrical test equipment.
- Laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, semiconductor, or regulated-product experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Pay
$30-35/hr W2

Schedule
Onsite 5 days per week in Wilmington, MA. This is a 6+ month contract position with an ASAP start date.
