Electrical Technician

About the role

Sceye is a high-growth technology company developing next-generation communications, imaging, and remote sensing infrastructure using stratospheric platforms. The Electrical Technician will support the development of these systems, focusing on harness assembly, component integration, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Build, route, and install electrical harnesses, ensuring proper terminations, crimping, and soldering in accordance with aerospace standards
  • Assist in the assembly and integration of electrical components, including connectors, circuit boards, and avionics systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to support accurate builds
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting, including continuity checks and insulation resistance verification, to ensure harness integrity
  • Inspect work and ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety protocols, and aerospace regulations
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to support system integration and resolve technical challenges

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of direct experience in electrical harness assembly, wiring, in automotive or aerospace field
  • Proficiency in crimping, soldering, box builds and connector assembly
  • Familiarity with connector types (e.g., JST, Molex, MIL-spec connectors)
  • Understanding of continuity testing and multimeter use
  • Strong understanding of cable routing, strain relief, and aerospace/automotive wiring standards
  • Hands-on experience using tools such as wire strippers, heat shrink tubing, and torque wrenches
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, or high-tech manufacturing
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.)
  • Ability to adapt and troubleshoot in a dynamic R&D environment
