Electrical Technician
About the role
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Shift Hours
Currently Hiring
2nd shift 8-hour shifts
2:50pm to 11:30pm
Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events.
Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Supporting production packaging and processing operations
- Sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment
- Using technology in an industry-leading facility
- Working with experienced teams to learn and gain skills
- Challenging yourself to ensure the job is done right and gaining skills for future opportunities
- Adhering to plant safety measures including LOTO and total energy isolation
- Reading and updating electrical and control schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Providing technical support/skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls/equipment modifications
- Performing uptime and downtime, preventative electrical maintenance
- Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why, Breakdown Elimination)
- Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
- Absisting in training new employees
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school education or GED
- Tech school diploma and 2 years of experience in related field or equivalent experience in a related field preferred (familiarity with Rockwell and Allen Bradley components)
- Electrical/Controls experience may include plant power distribution, plant equipment controls, and plant electrical support
- Licensed Journeyman preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
- Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Need to be able to work in a tobacco free environment
- Good understanding of electrical safety (low & high voltage), including arc flash training
- Must possess’ advance knowledge of PLC’s, SLC’s, Logix 5000, as well as accompanying hardware components
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, and occasionally update them

Pay
- Up to $42.04 per hour
- $36.78 - $37.85 per hour to start
- Shift differential- Night Shift $1:00 per hour when working between the hours of 11pm – 7am
- Shift differential - afternoon shift $0.50 per hour when working between 3pm-11pm
Schedule
- 2nd shift 8-hour shifts
- 2:50pm to 11:30pm
