Job Description
Monitor and control wind generation facilities in real time under normal and emergency conditions.
Evaluate system conditions, anticipate operational risks, and respond to incidents to ensure optimal system performance.
Direct field technicians during system restorations or maintenance events.
Author and maintain electrical switching and operations procedures.
Record and report all operational data and system disturbances accurately.
Ensure full compliance with applicable NERC reliability standards and internal operating protocols.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and operational proficiency.
Qualifications
- Required Skills and Competencies:
- 2-year or 4-year technical degree with 2 years of experience in utility or power plant operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical theory, energy systems, and basic mathematical concepts.
- Ability to obtain PJM and NERC Certification within 12 months.
- Clear and confident communicator with excellent situational judgment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based control room environment.
- Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards is a plus.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Pay & Benefits
- Base Pay: $36–$45 per hour (equivalent to $74,880–$93,600 annually, based on experience).
- 10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on company and individual performance).
- Certification Incentive Pay: Up to $5,400 annually for maintaining certifications.
- Shift Pay Incentives: Night Shift Differential (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM), On-call pay.
- Special Projects Pay, OT and Holiday Pay Eligibility.

Working Conditions
