Electrical Systems Worker
Responsible Functions
Responsible for all phases of electrical, electronic, and control systems work. Will be required to perform electrical/electronic functions to include the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all plant electrical and control equipment. Must possess the experience and sufficient knowledge to install, test, repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot problems and failures with control devices, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and other microprocessor-based controllers. Will participate in the startup of industrial process and mechanical equipment systems as required. Required to perform field service work associated with the start-up, operation, and maintenance of control systems on electrical, mechanical, and process equipment.
Requirements
- A current Massachusetts Journeyman's electrical license and a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience are required
- A solid understanding of electronic programmable equipment, including, but not limited to, building automations & control systems and programmable logic controllers including programming experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to use oscilloscopes and electronic calibration equipment is preferred
- Minimum supervision required
- Requires the ability to climb and maneuver on ladders, staging, work platforms and / or tight spaces
- Crawling over and around equipment located in building pipe chases and mechanical rooms or construction areas is a must
- Must be able to work for long periods on one’s feet, requires frequent bending and kneeling and carrying / lifting objects heavy items up to 50lbs
- The ability to read construction and schematic drawings, process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), and ladder logic diagrams is required
- Experience and sufficient knowledge to:
- Install, test, repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot problems and failures with control devices, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other microprocessor-based controllers.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain:
- Addressable fire systems
- Security and access control systems
- Toxic & flammable gas life safety detection systems
Qualifications
- The ability to practice safe work habits according to OSHA and EHS expectations
- Strong safety ethics
- Availability for periodic call-ins is strongly desired

Wed-Sat 6:00 am to 4:00 pm

Background Investigation and Security Clearance
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
