Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design and implement design changes for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering projects.
- Create electrical system schematics, PCB designs, specifications, and design documentation.
- Conduct component selection, alternate parts identification, and manage MCO/ECO releases under design controls.
- Develop and execute test protocols and reports for design verification testing (DVT), etc.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits at the component, board, and system levels, performing root cause analysis.
- Develop test systems, methods, and fixtures, utilizing electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Generate PCBA manufacturing files, including BOMs and Gerber files.
- Assist with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing, Reliability testing, Test Methods Validation, circuit and device level troubleshooting, problem etc.
- Manage project tasks to meet schedules and support external design partners.
- Perform circuit and system-level simulations using eCAD tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of PCBA schematic and layout design from definition to manufacturing release (Altium or equivalent CAD tools).
- Experience with microcontrollers, embedded electronics (digital and analog), and wireless circuits.
- Ability to use lab test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers for troubleshooting and characterization.
- Understanding of medical device design controls and documentation change management.
- Familiarity with creating electro-mechanical test fixtures and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabView).
- Knowledge of Electrical CAD design, SPICE-based electrical design simulation, and MATLAB systems simulation.
- Basic software knowledge (C, C++, Python) and familiarity with AI concepts are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
