Electrical Manufacturing Supervisor

About the Role

Vanderlande’s Site Management Department manages the installation and project execution of material handling systems, warehouse automation, and parcel sortation systems for customers across North America. Due to the increasing number of projects and their geographical spread, the team is growing. As an Electrical Manufacturing Supervisor, you will report to the Production Manager and manage the capacity and workflow of the panel shop at the White, GA facility. You will oversee electrical subcontractors, ensuring safe and compliant electrical installations, and interact with Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the safe installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee daily workforce headcount, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Provide information to Engineering, R&D, or Production regarding scope and design.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to ensure adherence to electrical installation requirements.
• Ensure project milestones are tracked and revisions are communicated to meet scope, budget, and schedules.
• Oversee conduit, wireways, boxes, cabling, and device installation to meet Vanderlande and customer requirements.
• Ensure electrical installations align with engineering drawings and distribute redline updates.
• Validate and maintain turnover documentation from electrical subcontractors.
• Ensure team members execute safe electrical work and adhere to engineering drawings and schematics.
• Verify I/O checkout and industrial networking installations.
• Work with Production Manager and Manufacturing Engineering to improve project efficiency.
• Supervise assigned electrical team members to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Assist with equipment trial runs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide training on electrical installation for new team members.

Requirements

• Ability to accommodate minimal travel on short notice.
• Willingness to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of conduit routing and installation validation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Understanding of AC/DC electrical theory.
• Familiarity with industrial control components (relays, contactors, PLC I/O, etc.).
• Experience with electrical hand tools and test equipment (multimeter, wire strippers, etc.).
• Preferred: UL MTR or understanding of UL 508A.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex control and motor wiring issues.
• 3-5 years of experience assembling or wiring industrial electrical control panels.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 certification.

• Experience with material handling equipment (AGVS, AS/RS, conveyors).

• Detailed knowledge in a technical or specialty area.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role involves substantial standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs. Work may be performed at heights, in various weather conditions, and requires wearing PPE. Frequent exposure to fumes, mechanical parts, vibration, and high noise levels.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for an hourly rate and annual performance bonus program.
