Electrical Controls Supervisor - Manufacturing

Marvin is seeking an Electrical Controls Supervisor to lead a team of controls technicians supporting our advanced manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you will oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems that keep our window and door production lines running safely and efficiently. You'll prioritize and assign work, drive root cause analysis, and partner with engineering and production to implement controls improvements, support new equipment commissioning, and champion safety and continuous improvement in a people-first, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of electrical controls technicians in a manufacturing environmentOversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control panelsDiagnose and resolve equipment and controls issues to minimize downtimePartner with engineering and production to support new equipment commissioning and upgradesEnsure compliance with electrical and safety standards, including NFPA 70E and Lockout/TagoutDevelop and maintain documentation, electrical schematics, and standard proceduresPrioritize and schedule work orders using maintenance or CMMS toolsIdentify and implement controls improvements to support quality, safety, and throughputCoordinate with vendors and contractors for controls and automation projectsSupport training and development of technicians in controls and electrical best practices Required Skills PLC programming and troubleshootingHMI configuration and supportIndustrial electrical systems (480V, controls wiring)VFDs and motor controlsIndustrial networking (Ethernet/IP, fieldbus)Control panel design and interpretationElectrical schematics and documentationRoot cause analysis and problem-solvingCMMS or maintenance management systemsSafety standards (NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout)
