About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing teams by ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all processes. They will establish manufacturing procedures, collect and analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain manufacturing procedures and quality management systems
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Lead training on quality and performance system tools
- Collaborate with various departments to address quality-related concerns
- Manage documentation related to quality management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain MES projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET EAC accredited program
- Proof of degree required
- Cooperate well with other individuals
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Basic working knowledge of machinery and electricity
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents
- Willingness and ability to climb and work from high places
- Ability to keep accurate records of experiments and results
- Ability to write technical papers and summarize results of research work
- Willingness and ability to travel on a moderate basis with minimal notice
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and teamwork with departmental leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET EAC accredited program
Skills
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Robotic integration and programming
- Manufacturing processes and products knowledge
- Advanced knowledge and/or substantial work experience with PLCs and other automated control systems
- Prior work experience in electrical engineering, machine shop, metal forming, tooling design, computer science, information technologies or maintenance
- Training and/or experience with personal computer and computer aided designs
- Professional Engineering License or Engineer-In-Training Certification
