The Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance Planner at Georgia-Pacific's Halsey, OR facility supports the pulp and paper mill. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading risk management, contractor safety, and safety issue mitigation
- Creating and planning maintenance shutdowns and daily work
- Procuring materials efficiently for maintenance work
- Scheduling and coordinating electrical maintenance tasks
- Developing and prioritizing maintenance outage work
- Ensuring timely identification and development of maintenance projects
- Using economic and critical thinking to ensure maintenance spend creates long-term value
- Fostering personal growth and capability among E&I personnel
- Prioritizing work and collaborating with Area Leaders
- Maintaining Planning Board metrics and explaining performance
To qualify, candidates should have:
- Two (2) years or more of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
- One (1) year or more of experience in a maintenance, electrical, or planning role
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher
- Five (5) or more years of experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Technical experience with pulping and paper equipment and/or converting equipment
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
