The Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance Planner at Georgia-Pacific's Halsey, OR facility supports the pulp & paper mill. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues
- Creating detailed maintenance shutdown and daily work plans and materials procurement
- Anticipating, prioritizing, and scheduling electrical maintenance work
- Identifying and developing maintenance outage work
- Ensuring maintenance spend creates long-term value for the product system and mill
- Encouraging E&I personnel to demonstrate personal ownership and foster personal growth
- Collaborating with Area Leaders to prioritize work
- Maintaining Planning Board metrics and providing explanations for performance
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- Two (2) years or more of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
- One (1) year or more of experience in a maintenance, electrical, or planning role
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
- Five (5) or more years of experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Technical experience with pulping and paper equipment and/or converting equipment
- Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
