About the role
The Lead Maintenance Planner assists supervisors with the assignment, coordination, and execution of activities within the Maintenance Planning Group to ensure a productive workforce that supports divisional, departmental, Clean Energy Center (CEC), and corporate goals while adhering to company policies and regulations. This role proactively monitors work planning performance, maintains quality and standardization of work packages, and supports collaboration with the Work Management group. The Lead Maintenance Planner also serves as a discipline planner and mentor, stepping into supervisory responsibilities during absences.
Responsibilities
- Support coordination of discipline planners' preparation of work instructions for corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, surveillances, and modifications.
- Perform the function of a Maintenance Planner, including conducting field walk-downs to analyze maintenance activities.
- Interface with Work Management, Supply, and Engineering to resolve work package issues.
- Verify work instructions comply with station procedures, including NSPs, NSWPs, ASME Code, and 10.CFR50.59 screening or evaluation.
- Review and approve required work packages.
- Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to enhance work package quality and direction.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate discipline planners within the CEC.
- Participate in work control, coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings for online operations, load reductions, forced outages, and refuel outages.
- Ensure planning activities are properly assigned, planned, and ready to work.
- Foster open communication and collaboration between internal and external organizations.
- Perform additional duties as directed, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, OR
- Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 5 years of related experience, OR
- Associate's degree with 7 years of related experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination/testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the craft of the discipline being planned for.
- Previous nuclear power plant experience.

Pay
Expected salary range of $124,200 to $138,000, varying based on experience.
