Electrical Lead Man

About the role

This position involves monitoring installations to ensure adherence to company standards and contractual requirements. Responsibilities include managing productivity, safety, quality control, scheduling, procurement of materials, and addressing any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Understand assigned portion of the project thoroughly
• Communicate effectively with foreman and crew
• Be courteous and cordial to customers
• Affirm that all work performed meets relevant codes
• Affirm that proper materials are on-site for required work
• Affirm productivity by effectively managing crew and time
• Establish high performance and quality standards
• Establish project goals and monitor progress
• Utilize Prefab shop to its full extent
• Anticipate potential problems and address them proactively
• Act as an enthusiastic and motivating leader
• Maintain crew's punctuality and adherence to breaks
• Maintain accurate "as-builts" documentation
• Implement Bergelectric’s Employee Handbook and safety policies
• Work collaboratively to support company’s profit and growth

Qualifications

• Completion of an electrical construction apprentice program or valid state electrician license/certification
• 4 years field experience as a journeyman electrician, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of basic laws of electricity and electrical systems
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and project future issues
• Resourcefulness and quick problem-solving abilities
• Basic mathematical and electrical formula proficiency
• Ability to visualize and sketch electrical layouts
• Physical demands: lift 50 lbs., pull 50 lbs., climb ladders, pull wires, and work in various weather conditions

Physical Demands

• Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force
• Climb ladders, pull wires, and conduct conduit pulling
• Perform tasks involving squatting, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods
• Work off ladders, man lifts, or reach booms
