About the role
This position involves monitoring installations to ensure adherence to company standards and contractual requirements. Responsibilities include managing productivity, safety, quality control, scheduling, procurement of materials, and addressing any issues that could impact project completion.
Responsibilities
- Understand assigned project thoroughly
- Communicate effectively with foreman and crew
- Be courteous and professional with customers
- Affirm compliance with NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes
- Affirm availability of required materials
- Manage productivity by effectively managing crew and time
- Establish high performance and quality standards
- Set project goals and monitor progress
- Utilize Prefab shop to its full capacity
- Anticipate potential problems and address them proactively
- Lead as an enthusiastic and motivating figure
- Maintain crew punctuality and adhere to rest breaks
- Create and maintain accurate "as-builts" documentation
- Implement Bergelectric's Employee Handbook and safety policies
- Work collaboratively and contribute to the company's growth
Qualifications
- Completion of an electrical construction apprentice program or valid state electrician license/certification
- 4 years of field experience as a journeyman electrician, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of basic laws of electricity and electrical systems
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to prioritize tasks, organize information, and anticipate future issues
- Resourcefulness and quick problem-solving abilities
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to use electrical formulas
- Visual and sketching abilities for electrical layouts
- Physical demands: lift 50 lbs., pull 50 lbs., climb ladders, pull wires, and work in various weather conditions
Physical Demands
- Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force
- Climb ladders, pull wires, and conduct conduit pulling
- Perform tasks involving squatting, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Work off ladders, man lifts, or reach booms
