Electrical Installation Lead (TS/SCI with Polygraph Required)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily work activities for electrical installers, technicians, and maintenance personnel; assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure crews follow safety and work standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; provide coaching and skill development.
• Lead and participate in the installation of electrical systems, equipment, wiring, panels, motors, and controls; interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Verify installations meet NEC (National Electrical Code), local codes, and organizational standards.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment; diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to resolve technical issues.
• Enforce electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and OSHA requirements; conduct safety briefings and job hazard analyses.
• Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and inspection records.
• Coordinate with project managers, planners, and contractors to schedule work and allocate resources; monitor project timelines, material inventory, and job progress.
• Provide detailed daily reports on job progress, issues, delays, and workforce needs; communicate plans and expectations clearly to crew members and stakeholders.
• Assist in estimating labor, materials, and equipment needs for projects.

Requirements

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five years of work-related experience; or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine years if non-degreed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10 years of electrical installation or maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, or utility electrical systems (depending on industry).
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (include U.S. State & License Number for verification).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Additional credentials such as NFPA 70E training, CPR/First Aid, and equipment-specific certifications.
• Proficient in NEC, electrical theory, control systems, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to operate testing tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, thermal imagers).
• Skilled with conduit bending, panel wiring, motor controls, VFDs, PLC-related work (where applicable).

Pay

$74,000.00 – $138,000.00 (market rate typically at the mid-point; final salary varies by qualifications, experience, location, internal pay equity, and market conditions).
