Electrical Inspector or Senior Electrical Inspector

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate digital inspection records
- Review plans and specifications for compliance with City-approved standards
- Conduct plan reviews to identify code or zoning issues
- Perform field inspections of new and existing structures
- Follow up on violations
- Provide clear guidance on electrical code interpretation to contractors and property owners
- At the senior level, provide training, mentorship, and day-to-day work leadership to inspection staff
- Support supervisory functions
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical inspection or related field
- Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college coursework in electrical engineering or related field preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to operate a variety of inspection equipment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
