Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead electrical crews and oversee field operations on construction projects. The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising daily electrical work, coordinating manpower and materials, and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications. This role works closely with the Electrical Project Manager to maintain project schedules, uphold quality standards, and deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead electrical crews on construction job sites, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Plan, assign, and coordinate daily work activities for electricians and apprentices.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to guide field installations.
- Cookordinate with Project Managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain work progress and ensure installations meet company quality standards and electrical code requirements.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies on job sites.
- Troubleshoot electrical installation issues and provide guidance to field personnel.
- Track labor productivity and report job progress to the Project Manager.
- Cookordinate material deliveries and ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Maintain job site documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and work progress updates.
- Assist in training and mentoring electricians and apprentices to maintain a strong and capable workforce.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Proven experience in a Foreman or supervisory role on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and NEC codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
