Electrical Field Engineer III
EngineeringFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: h3 for headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections where posting has real specific content. No job title heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate. Need to preserve substantive info.
Let's parse the posting.
Content:
- REPORTS TO: Chief Department Engineer & Program Engineer
- SUPERVISES: Field Engineer I & II
- Austal USA description paragraph.
- "What sets Austal USA apart is our commitment to innovation..." paragraph.
- "Authorities / Responsibilities" then list: Responsible for supporting Production by documenting changes, answering questions and creating deck plate changes. Responsible for insuring timely and accurate communication between Design Engineering and Production.
- "General QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:" then bullet list (actually sentences separated by line breaks). Let's extract each bullet:
Minimum of 10 years of shipyard design or construction experience OR 8 years with an Associate’s degree in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of production floor experience OR 6 years of experience in a supervisory capacity on the production floor OR Minimum 3 years Austal experience serving as a Field Engineer II
Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline is a benefit

Computer literate and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (i.e. ABS, DNV, GL, HSNC, NVR, USCG, IMO, etc.)
Experience in the construction of high speed aluminum and/or Navy vessels is advantageous but not a requirement
Knowledge of modular construction methods is advantageous but not a requirement.

Discretion Exercised May provide input to evaluations of Field Engineers I & II
Has authority to direct, evaluate and correct the work of Field Engineers I & II
LIAISES WITH: Engineers, Production Personnel, Customer, Regulatory Bodies, Program Management and Equipment Suppliers
Then "Physical Requirements" long list.
Then "WORK ENVIRONMENT" paragraph.
Then "SAFETY" paragraph.
Then "Additional Guidelines" about DoD clearance.
Then eligibility guidelines list.
Then "Equal Employment Commitment" paragraph (EEO) - we need to remove EEO boilerplate. So drop that.
Also remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. There's no explicit application instructions but we should drop EEO.
We need to decide sections: About the role (maybe the description paragraphs), Responsibilities (the Authorities/Responsibilities), Requirements/Qualifications (the qualifications list), Skills (maybe combine some), Benefits, Pay, Schedule only if present. There's no mention of pay, benefits, schedule. So we should not include those sections.
We also have Physical Requirements, Work Environment, Safety, Additional Guidelines, Eligibility Guidelines. Those could be considered as part of Requirements or maybe separate sections like "Physical Requirements", "Work Environment", "Safety". The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings? It says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It implies those are examples; we could also use other headings if needed? It says "Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings; but we can also include other meaningful headings if they have content? The instruction: "Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It doesn't say we cannot use other headings, but they gave examples. Safer to stick to those categories and fold other info into appropriate sections.
We can put Physical Requirements under Requirements or Qualifications? Probably under Requirements. Work Environment maybe under Requirements as well. Safety maybe under Requirements. Additional Guidelines maybe under Requirements. Eligibility Guidelines maybe under Requirements.
We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to preserve all substantive info. So we need to include all the details from the posting, just organized.
Let's craft sections:
- About the role: include the introductory paragraphs about Austal USA, what sets them apart, maybe also the REPORTS TO and SUPERVISES? Those could be under About the role or Responsibilities. Probably About the role includes overview.
- Responsibilities: include the Authorities/Responsibilities bullet points, also Direction Exercised, Discretion Exercised, Has authority..., LIAISES WITH.
- Requirements/Qualifications: include the General QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE list, plus Physical Requirements, Work Environment, Safety, Additional Guidelines, Eligibility Guidelines.
- Skills: maybe include communication skills, computer literacy, etc. But those are already in qualifications. Could combine.
We need to avoid duplication. Let's extract each piece and ensure we include.
